Welcome to Event Planner Pro (“we,” “our,” or “us”). Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application Event Planner Pro (the “App”). Please read this policy carefully. By using the App, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.


2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

  • Event Data: Names, dates, times, locations, guest lists, notes, and other event-related details you enter into the App.

  • Images: Photos you select from your device’s gallery or capture using your camera (via the image picker) to attach to events.

  • PDF / Print Content: Documents you generate within the App for export or printing.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Device Information: Device model, operating system version, and unique device identifiers.

  • Usage Data: App interactions, screens visited, and feature usage to help us improve the App.

  • Advertising Data: We use Google AdMob to serve ads. AdMob may collect device identifiers (e.g., Advertising ID), IP address, and interaction data with ads to deliver personalized or non-personalized advertisements. Please refer to Google’s Privacy Policy for details.

2.3 Notifications

  • If you enable local notifications, the App stores reminder data locally on your device only. No notification data is sent to our servers.


3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide App functionality — create, manage, and organize your events.

  • Generate PDF exports and printable documents from your event data.

  • Send local reminders and notifications about upcoming events (only if enabled by you).

  • Display advertisements to support the free version of the App.

  • Analyze usage patterns to improve App performance and user experience.

  • Comply with legal obligations.


4. Data Storage

  • All event data, preferences, and app settings are stored locally on your device using secure local storage (Hive database and Shared Preferences).

  • We do not operate a remote server or cloud backend. Your personal event data is never transmitted to our servers.

  • Deleting the App from your device will remove all locally stored data permanently.

6. Advertising & Google AdMob

We use Google AdMob to display advertisements in the App. AdMob may use cookies, advertising identifiers (such as Android Advertising ID), and similar tracking technologies to serve personalized ads based on your interests.

  • You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting your device settings:

    • Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization

  • For EU/EEA users, we display a User Messaging Platform (UMP) consent dialog in compliance with GDPR before serving personalized ads.

  • Ad-free access may be available during promotional periods as defined within the App.


7. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in the EU/EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete such information.

  • Business transfer: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user data may be transferred as part of that transaction.


10. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. Since all personal data is stored locally on your device, the security of your data also depends on your device’s security settings (e.g., screen lock, encryption).


11. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

  • Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you.

  • Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data (note: all data is local — you can delete it by clearing the App’s data or uninstalling the App).

  • Opt-out of personalized ads: As described in Section 6.

  • GDPR (EU/EEA users): Rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, and portability under GDPR.

  • CCPA (California users): Right to know, delete, and opt-out of sale of personal information.


12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of this policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
